Strawberry & Rhubarb is locally owned by Gayle Schliemann. Gayle got her start in sewing seventeen years ago while obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. She went on to volunteer her services for the Richmond Ballet and later to work as a free lance dress designer.
As fate would have it, Gayle started working at a Bernina dealership and was hooked on playing with the machines and inspiring others to find their "creative wings." She has been Bernina certified in sewing, serging, embroidery, and software for the past eight years and is thrilled to be celebrating Strawberry & Rhubarb's 3rd Anniversary and Bernina's 76th this year.
Gayle and the Strawberry & Rhubarb staff, Alice, Emiko, Jamey, Judy, Melissa, and Michelle, are looking forward to your next visit.
